Toyota Dream Car Contest

A car of your dreams from TOYOTA, something wonderful isn’t it? Well, I will be sharing my experience in making a dream car for TOYOTA.

It all started with a mail saying that I was selected to participate in the TOYOTA dream car contest, I was super excited to start but did not know what to draw, there were many things to include like solar panels, windmills, many rooms, bird watching and so much more. I like to draw hybrid animals, they are when you combine 2 or more animals., So I started thinking about making it a hybrid animal and combining all the things on my list. So, I came up with this as my plan and summary; As kind as a deer (head), fast as a horse (body), fierce as a lion (tail) and powerful as an eagle (wings). I want to see the world as a planet living in peace and with no pollution. My car runs with dead leaves and produces no smoke therefore this series is named TO (Toyota Organo). It is multi-talented as it can run, swim, and fly and let the travellers have a clear view of where they are from the inside and outside. I liked it! Now, time to start with the drawing. I was given a hard paper to draw and submit and so started drawing. It was liked I planned, it had looked like a hybrid, it had many rooms, a bird-watching area and also a horn seat with butterfly elevators. I coloured it in all sorts of colours from white to black. I enjoyed doing it. At last, when I was satisfied with my dream car, I started filling the information form. It had all sorts of questions such as your name, nationality, address, phone number, and the other questions you could imagine in an information form, And here comes the final design!

2-3 months later, there was another mail which made me walk on air. It said that I was given a bronze ranking for my Toyota Organo and was invited to the awarding ceremony on the coming Saturday! I was so excited but the thing was I had to wait for 3 whole days! If you know me, you would know how restless I was. The next 3 days went like forever when I was thinking about the awarding ceremony and time used to go like jets when I was not thinking about it. Finally, that day came, and I was supposed to be there by 2:30 pm, it was 12:00 now so I had time to try a bunch of dresses. When I was okay with one, my dad had come to pick us and go to the Toyota showroom. I got in the car and drove off. I saw many things, even a well-behaved sparrow sitting on a signal! We reached the Toyota showroom and we met my uncle there, he told us he would be there the day before so we went together. There was barely space for us to park as there were pre-owned, newly made and owned cars all around the place. I entered the showroom and we asked the security where to go, we went as directed. It was downstairs. There were many red boxes with artworks of the winners and the stage looked like a blue car that had drops of colour that made it look like a paint pallet. I got down there and 2 people talking with another person and a boy. We waited until they were done and we went to the area. I told them my name and they asked me if I was ready, I said yes. They gave me a big red box for me to hold, they had photographers and even my family was taking the pictures. They said they would send the photos by mail and they would send my art framed to my house. We said thank you and I took the red box. I was thinking about medals, so why was a medal taking much more space than it was supposed to? I got to the car and opened it right then, what was inside was not a medal but a bunch of art sets! It was so many of them. I know that you might be curious to know what are the things I found inside the box, so this is the picture of the things I got.

I have made a collage of the event

I was very happy to see all these new art mediums. The whole journey had a lot of learning in it. I loved this experience of taking part in the Toyota dream car contest.

I have created a sway on my experience too! Click here to view!
