The way you teach, the knowledge you share. The care you take, the love you shower. Happy Teachers Day!
This day is celebrated to honour the memory of India’s first Vice President, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. 5th September, the birth anniversary of the 1st Vice president, is celebrated as Teacher’s Day across India.
“The Teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind”. Kahlil Gibran.
Our prime teachers are the people who show you the outside world before you get into school. They are the ones who teach you the smells, touches, tastes, sights and sounds you hear in life. Who are they? They are our first teachers, Parents! My parents have taught me a lot of things as from how to walk to communicate. Parents do not need to pass a Teachers eligibility test to guide us.
Remember your first day of school? A little toddler about the age of 3 to 4, nervous about what would happen when you were away from your parents? We were approached by the incredible people who made us feel at home, away from home. They teach us the endowment of knowledge over all others. They are our teachers! To all my incredible and dear teachers, you are;
T – Thoughtful!
E – Efficacious!
A – Awesome!
C – Caring!
H – Heartful!
E – Elated!
R – Reassuring!
S – Superpeople!
Teaching is a work of heart, better than any work of art! Our Teachers are masters of them.
Matha- Pitha- Guru- Deivum. Well, this phrase is a Sanscrit slogan that comes from Hindu Mythology. This phrase denotes mother- father- teacher- god. In detail means; The Mother gives birth to the child, nourishes her and takes care of her, then the father, having the outside exposure and most trusted by the mother, is pointed to the child by the mother so the child can have an acknowledgement of the outer world. After that, the parents take the child to the teacher, the gateway to knowledge. Finally, the teacher shows us to god, in this case, is our mindfulness. This theory states that our mother, father and teacher come before god and are our first teachers in life. For me, a person ten years of age, teachers are like small diamonds that you collect along the way and never forget. I have collected a lot of these diamonds and am sure to find much more in the future.
“Teachers, I believe, are the most responsible and important members of society because their professional efforts affect the fate of the Earth.” —Helen Caldicott.
Thank You!
